Nicole S. Weber is a Managing Director with Empire Search Partners in New York. Nicole advises attorneys in a variety of practice areas as they consider lateral moves that will further their professional goals. She places lawyers of all levels into leading law firms and corporations across the country.
Before joining Empire Search Partners, Nicole was the Senior Law Editor at Vault.com, where she published Vault’s career guides for legal job candidates and consulted with law firms regarding recruiting strategies and lawyer satisfaction. She was responsible for reviewing the data collected through Vault’s Law Firm Associate Survey, in which 17,000 associates participate annually, and which generates Vault’s Top 100 list and Best Law Firms to Work For rankings. Nicole’s role at Vault gave her unique insight into attorneys’ experiences at the top global law firms, and in-depth understanding of the hiring process from the perspective of both candidates and recruiting teams. She enjoys applying this comprehensive knowledge of the legal job market to guide attorneys through important transitions at all stages of their careers.
Prior to working at Vault, Nicole was an Associate in the Employment Law Department at Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel LLP, where she advised corporate clients on a wide variety of personnel issues and represented management in employment-related disputes. Nicole earned her J.D., cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center, where she was the Symposium Editor of the Georgetown Journal of Gender and the Law and a student advocate in Georgetown’s Domestic Violence Clinic. During the summer after her 1L year Nicole was a judicial intern for the Hon. Harold Baer, Jr., in the Southern District of New York. Nicole graduated from Williams College, cum laude, with a B.A. in English.
