Scott Yaccarino is a partner and one of the founders of Empire Search Partners. Scott leads the firm’s Corporate and Tax practices, working closely with international law firms, private investment fund sponsors and other asset managers, and public and private companies. Scott focuses most of his time in the private funds, private equity, finance, restructuring, tax, and executive compensation arenas.

Scott represents a notably broad candidate and client base, though he is particularly well known for his work with a roster of highly elite law firms and sought-after partners. Over the past 20 years, Scott has consistently been retained to work on some of the most transformative and consequential lateral partner moves in the U.S. market. Scott works closely and has longstanding relationships with law firm Chairs, Executive Committees, and practice group leaders in developing and executing highly strategic and discreet lateral growth initiatives. In addition to the law firm engagements he works on, Scott has the privilege of being the trusted advisor and agent to a wide range of individual partners and groups in intelligently evaluating and selectively exploring the market. Given Scott’s invaluable and holistic perspective of the legal industry, he is frequently asked to weigh in on important market moves and trends with many of the most respected legal news sources, including The American Lawyer, New York Law Journal, and Bloomberg Law.

Scott entered the legal search industry after having practiced law at both a major international firm and a market-leading firm in the venture capital and emerging company sector. Scott’s legal practice focused on advising private equity and venture capital fund sponsors and investors in connection with fund formation, ongoing operations, and mergers and acquisitions.

Scott received an LL.M. in Taxation, a J.D., and an undergraduate degree in Finance from University of Florida.
