Stacey Alton is a Managing Director with Empire Search Partners in San Francisco. Focusing on both Northern California and the New York metro area, Stacey partners with Am Law 100 attorneys, top-tier law firms, and major corporate legal departments, acting as their trusted advisor in navigating their respective legal talent markets. Stacey brings over a decade of legal recruiting experience to Empire Search, priding her practice on maintaining the highest levels of integrity, diligence, and expertise.

From law firm associates to partners, and from junior in-house counsel to General Counsel and CCOs, Stacey’s motivation is to help attorneys of all seniorities make the most informed career decisions possible. Stacey has successfully counseled attorneys on their careers within corporate transactions & finance, regulatory, intellectual property, and many other practice areas, while her in-house experience has crossed the range of industries, including life sciences, technology, and financial services.

Before joining Empire Search, Stacey was an independent legal recruiter in both the law firm and in-house markets, and she also spent several years recruiting with Major, Lindsey & Africa in New York. Formerly, Stacey was a litigation attorney in the San Francisco Bay Area. She earned her J.D. from Golden Gate University School of Law and received her B.A. in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
