Suzanne Kane is a Partner at Empire Search Partners in San Francisco. She has been a trusted recruiting advisor to lawyers and top law firms for almost 30 years. Suzanne focuses on the placement of partners into top law firms, and was named one of the 100 Leading Legal Consultants and Strategists by Law Dragon in 2022. While Suzanne is based in the San Francisco Bay Area, she draws on her deep network across legal markets in the US, Europe, and Asia to assist in meeting the needs of her partner candidates and law firm clients.

Suzanne was previously a partner at a transatlantic search firm. Prior to her search firm roles, Suzanne was a senior recruiting professional for several prestigious law firms, including 15 years spent at Latham & Watkins, which provided her an insider’s deep understanding of law firm operations and governance. Suzanne served on several law firm merger and integration teams, developing a unique grasp of strategic planning and execution for success. She has put that experience to good use in helping several elite law firms open new offices in the Bay Area in recent years.

Suzanne has a strong track record of success working with attorneys from groups that are historically underrepresented in law firm partnerships. She participates in the National LGBTQ+ Bar Association, and is a member of ChIPs, a non-profit professional organization that advances and connects women in technology, law, and policy. Suzanne received her B.A. from John Carroll University, not far from her hometown of Cleveland, Ohio.
